Object: Have the fewest points by taking the smallest number of tricks.

What you need:
1. A standard deck of cards with the jokers removed
2. A way to track scores
3. 3 or 4 players

How to play:
In the Game of Hearts if there are four players, each player is dealt 13 cards. If there are three players each person gets 17 cards. (In this case, remove the two of spades from the deck.)

Players will organize their hands and pass three cards of their choosing to the player on their left who must accept them and add them to their hand.

The person left of the dealer begins by playing one card. Each following player to the left in turn plays one card matching the suit of the first card played. If a player does not have the suit that was led, then he/she can play any other suit they choose.

Hearts cannot be led until someone lacking the lead suit has played one. The person with the highest card in the suit that was lead takes the trick. Hearts count as 1 point each and the Queen of Spades is worth a whapping 12 points. Try to avoid taking tricks as you risk acquiring more points the more tricks you take.

Shoot the Moon:
This is an alternative strategy that requires a player to obtain all the hearts and the Queen of Spades. If this is achieved then everyone else gets 26 points while the player that successfully shoots the moon gets 26 points deducted from their score. This is a very risky move because failure to obtain 1 heart or the Queen of Spades will result in a massive amount of points.

Winning:
The game ends when a player reaches 100 points. The player with the fewest points wins the game.
